On May 11, 2015, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit reversed the District Court’s ruling in the case of In re: Pajian, No. 14-2052 (May 11, 2015) N.D. Ill, E. Div., holding that that all creditors, secured and unsecured alike, are bound to the claims bar date as set forth in Rule 3002(c). The Court does note that a secured creditor’s failure to file or timely file a proof of claim does not void the creditor’s lien.
